Wait For Me: Memoirs of the Youngest Mitford Sister

This week's recommended read from the New Statesman magazine is the memoir of Deborah, Dowager Duchess of Devonshire "Wait For Me: Memoirs of the Youngest Mitford Sister". In the book she describes her childhood in Cotswolds where her brother and sisters were left to their own devices, and the events in the 1940s when her sister Diana was married to the Leader of the British Union of Fascists, and her sister Unity, a friend of Hilter, attempted suicide at the declaration of war.

We do a tour of the places where the Mitford Sisters grew up, so check out our programme for dates or contact us to organise a customised tour.
